Star Wars fans will finally be able to take the first peek at the new upcoming release from the creators of Apex Legends and Titanfall – Respawn Entertainment.
In April, it’s been confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will debut during a special panel at the Star Wars Celebration in Chicago.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order follows a “padwan who survived order 66” and gamers will be able to explore the galaxy in the time after the fall of the Jedi Order.
If you are not familiar with the Star Wars timeline, order 66 was a top-secret order identifying all Jedi’s as traitors to the Galactic Republic, and sentencing them to execution by the Grand Army of the Republic.
In other words, this was how the Sith intended on destroying the Jedi’s for good.
In terms of the timeline this is seemingly set in, the game will take place sometime after the 2005 release ‘Revenge of the Sith’ and around the same time period as the 2008 video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and cartoon series Rebels.
Publically announced back in 2016, the new Star Wars game has never been shown to the public and carries a lot of hype around it after EA canned its open-world Star Wars title earlier in the year and the flop that was Battlefront II.
Being the only Star Wars game currently in development, Respawn Entertainment will be hoping they can replicate the success of their most recent release Apex Legends.
If you are lucky enough to be able to make it to the Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, you will be treated to never before released details ahead of the games Autumn 2019 release.
There will also be a special event for the longest running Star Wars game, Star Wars: T
The convention will run from the 11th April to 15th April.
