Fortnite Guided Missile was gone and came back, and this is why

Within days of the arrival of the Quad Launcher in Fortnite: Battle Royale, the much adored Guided Missile was removed from the game.

The sudden temporary disabling of the Guided Missile was allegedly due to an issue that saw players being able to render themselves invisible during the game. The glitch was tweeted by FNBRLeaks who reported that repeatedly pressing the fire button for the Guided Missile while simultaneously consuming a Shadow Stone, would cloak you from other players for the rest of the match.

The reported glitch was not the only issue that the Guided Missile was experiencing. It was announced by Sean Hamilton, Epic Games’ Community Co-Ordinator for Fortnite that in the v6.10 patch, the “Always North” glitch would be addressed.

“Always North” refers to a problem players were facing in which the Guided Missile  would consistently fire North, regardless of the direction the player was facing.

The Guided Missile has been temporarily disabled while we investigate an issue.
