Loot Reviews Gaming is a community focused organization with a strong desire to help gamers connect in a meaningful way, while at the same time providing vital feedback to indie developers. Our contributors and staff are always on the lookout for new games to test and review and will leave no stone unturned. They also love to dig up some older games to put back in the spotlight, from all platforms.

Established in early 2018 by CEO Mitch Ford (the_real4d) from the comfort of his lounge, and trusty laptop, LRGaming was nothing compared to what it is today. We now have members spanning across the globe and skilled gamers from almost every major title out there. Our community discord is a bustling hub of advice, friendship, and hilarious competitions.

By the end of 2018, LRGaming had gained a team of regular contributors to the site, as well as new partnerships and sponsors.

LRGaming Esports was started in the beginning of Jan 2019, and at the time of writing this, still requires more qualified members in order to compete in Major League competitions.

Links found on this website for Amazon, Rogue Energy, IntoTheAM, and any subsequent sponsor or partner contain cookies which are used to let the seller know we sent you their way. This in no way affects the price you pay but does result in a small commission being paid to LRGaming.

Any earnings from our sponsored ads are used to pay for expenses required to keep LRGaming up and running, including:

  • Website Hosting
  • Podcast Hosting
  • Maintenance and Design
  • Prizes for the community discord competitions

Occasionally, Companies or Developers will send us products, give us access to games, or invite us to events as press members. This does not influence our reviews or public opinion.

You may notice two distinct types of review on this website:

  • Reviews with Pros & Cons table.
  • Reviews with only an LRG Rating.

The latter format is normally used, and a Pros & Cons table will be added when a complete test has been conducted.

Ratings are scored out of 100, and abbreviated down to a score out of 10. The weighting is as follows:

  • Gameplay/Controls (How does the game feel, are the controls easy to understand?) 0-30
  • Content/Story (Is the game entertaining and enjoyable? Is there enough content?) 0-40
  • Design/Graphics (What does it look like? How polished is the final design?) 0-30

It is important that we point out the obvious, All our reviews are done by people, not robots, this means they have a personality and as such may feel differently about a particular game than you the reader. Our reviews stick to a weighting system but are still a subjective opinion.
